If Skit.ai is on your shortlist, or already running your outbound collections, you know what it’s built for. Skit.ai says it has focused on collections since 2019, and it splits that work across seven specialist AI agents, each with its own role in the collections workflow.

You might look past Skit.ai if you want collections and customer support on one platform, agents made for more of the loan lifecycle than recovery, a specialist in B2B receivables, or a flat or per-minute fee you can see before you talk to sales.

Whichever way you go, the replacement takes on regulated work. Every dial has to stay inside Regulation F’s limits on call frequency and timing, and your team needs a record of each attempt to show what happened on any account.

Which Type of Skit.ai Alternative Do You Need?

  • Collections is the only job. Prodigal, AgentCollect, and Vodex all lead with collections, for different receivables. Prodigal says it’s built for consumer finance and loan servicing, Vodex for debt collection and receivables teams, and AgentCollect only for US B2B commercial debt.
  • Support and collections need one platform. Moveo AI and Floatbot both say they run service and collections conversations together, across voice, chat, SMS, and email.
  • The whole loan lifecycle needs covering. Vector is Synthflow’s AI agent platform for consumer lenders, with specialist agents for collections, refinancing, applications, and borrower support.
  • Engineers want to build it in-house. Retell AI, Bland.ai, and open-source frameworks such as Pipecat supply the voice layer, and your engineers supply the voice layer for an in-house build.
  • Accounts go to an agency. TrueAccord describes itself as a debt collection agency that uses its own machine learning to work consumer accounts, from early-stage reminders to late-stage recovery.

Contact-center suites such as Talkdesk fit teams replacing their whole contact center, since they list collections as one AI agent among many.

What Compliance Controls Should Every Skit.ai Alternative Have?

Any Skit.ai alternative that calls US consumers needs controls at five steps: scrubbing accounts, placing calls, verifying the borrower, negotiating, and keeping records.

What Skit.ai’s Agents Do

Skit.ai lists seven specialist agents.

  • A Manager assigns accounts and escalates stalled cases to people, a Collector talks to consumers across voice, SMS, email, and chat, and an Analyst scores each account’s propensity to pay.
  • Two agents handle compliance: the Scrubber filters out do-not-call, bankruptcy, and statute-barred accounts before any dial, and the Auditor reviews every conversation against FDCPA, TCPA, and state rules.
  • A Coach and a Tracer cover script quality and skip tracing.

Skit.ai says its checks run before, during, and after each call, and a sample dashboard on its platform page shows 16% right-party contact via voice and 29% promise-to-pay.

The Controls Every Alternative Needs

Regulation F presumes a violation once a collector places more than seven calls about one debt within seven days, or calls again within seven days of a conversation about it. A ringless voicemail counts as a call, and so does a call that rings unanswered or reaches voicemail. Only a call that never connects to the number, such as a busy signal or a disconnected line, falls outside the count. Calls before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. in the consumer’s local time are presumed inconvenient. And since the FCC’s February 2024 ruling, AI-generated voices count as artificial voices under the TCPA, so the TCPA’s consent rules for artificial-voice calls apply before an AI agent dials.

Regulation F binds third-party collectors, though state laws and UDAAP scrutiny push lenders collecting their own accounts toward the same habits. At each step:

What the platform has to do

Scrub

TCPA consent rules for artificial-voice calls

Confirm consent and do-not-call status for every account in the queue

Call

Regulation F’s seven-in-seven cap and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. window

Count attempts per debt, ringless voicemail included, and hold calls outside the window

Verify

FDCPA limits on discussing a debt with third parties

Confirm the right person is on the line before mentioning the debt

Negotiate

FDCPA disclosure and conduct rules

Give the debt-collector disclosure, and hand disputes, hardship, and attorney-represented accounts to people

Document

Regulation F record retention

Keep call logs, and any call recordings, for three years

The Skit.ai Alternatives, Vendor by Vendor

Prodigal

Prodigal’s AI agents are made only for consumer finance, covering loan servicing and collections.

Main features

  • Payments in every channel. Prodigal’s agent, proAgent, takes payments by voice, text, or email, including partial payments, payment plans, and settlement offers.
  • Hardship detection. Prodigal says it spots hardship signals and passes complex cases to human agents.
  • Certifications. Its trust center lists SOC 2, IRS 1075, and PCI DSS Level 1 v4.0.1.

Keep in mind: Prodigal encodes your own compliance requirements as guardrails, so the agent follows the rules your team defines and keeps up to date.

Pricing: Not published.

AgentCollect

AgentCollect focuses solely on US B2B commercial collections, with one AI agent assigned to each account under your brand.

Main features

  • Multi-channel outreach. Email, SMS, AI voice calls, demand letters, and a same-day payment portal.
  • Attorney escalation. Larger balances can move to formal demand letters sent through AgentCollect’s US attorney network.
  • Accounting and CRM connections. It lists integrations with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Salesforce, and HubSpot.

Keep in mind: The FDCPA and Regulation F govern consumer debt, so a consumer portfolio needs a different platform.

Pricing: You can get a quote only after you share your receivables with the sales team, and their pricing has three parts: a one-time setup fee, a subscription, and a small variable fee.

Moveo AI

Moveo AI runs customer support, accounts receivable, and collections on one platform, with every channel reading from one shared customer memory.

Main features

  • Channels. Voice, SMS, email, WhatsApp, and webchat, plus Viber, Instagram, and more.
  • Deployment. Private cloud and on-premise options across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Security. Moveo lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and HIPAA, and its trust center offers the SOC 2 report on request.

Keep in mind: Moveo AI pitches itself at mid-market and enterprise teams with international operations.

Pricing: A fixed SaaS fee. Rates aren’t published.

Vector

Vector is Synthflow’s AI agent platform for consumer lenders. In its first four weeks with a national lender, it reached 40% more right parties than human agents, at $12 per contact against $82. Running on the infrastructure behind Synthflow’s automated debt collection calls, its collections specialist works each account by call, text, and email until there’s an outcome.

Main features

  • Mission specialists. Vector’s four specialists are all active: Robin works collections, Elena refinancing, Marcus applications, and Nina borrower support.
  • Checks before every action. Each call or message is checked against the contact window, attempt cap, consent, and permissions, and blocked or escalated if a check fails. Every decision is recorded alongside the action and the policy applied.
  • Human judgment on hard calls. Hardship signals and other judgment calls go to your team, and the mission resumes once they decide.
  • Lender results. Across almost 22,000 dials, Vector reached the right party on 4.9% of them against a 3.5% human benchmark, and 49% of those contacts ended in a promise to pay, worth $215,018 in commitments.

Keep in mind: Vector is built for consumer lenders, so B2B receivables fall outside its scope. Hosting is in the US, with dedicated options where required, and Vector is SOC 2 Type II audited and ISO 27001 certified.

Pricing: Outcome-based, with any variable fee tied to an event such as a promise to pay. No per-minute charges or published rates.

Floatbot and Vodex

Both pair a collections agent with published entry pricing.

  • Floatbot’s collections agent, LEXI, works across voice, SMS, email, and chat, and names Reg F, FDCPA, and TCPA among the rules it follows. The Lite plan costs $99 a month if you pay annually, or $119 if you pay month to month, for 500 voice minutes or chat sessions.
  • Vodex runs voice agents for payment reminders and promise-to-pay follow-ups across voice, SMS, and email, and bills only for connected calls, with extra minutes at $0.13.

Keep in mind: Floatbot’s Lite plan allows two concurrent calls, and Vodex quotes on request.

Retell AI, Bland.ai, and Open-Source Frameworks

These are general voice-agent platforms, and collections is one use case among many

  • Retell AI charges $0.07 to $0.31 a minute, pay-as-you-go.
  • Bland.ai charges $0.14 a minute on Start, or $0.12 on Build plus $299 a month. Its financial services page says agents keep required disclosure language on-script for payment reminders and collections.
  • Pipecat, LiveKit Agents, and TEN Framework are open source. The code is free, and hosting, models, and telephony are on you.

Keep in mind: Retell AI publishes FDCPA and Regulation F guidance for automated collection calls, and Bland.ai describes calling-hour guardrails, but call caps, calling windows, and consent tracking are yours to configure.

TrueAccord

TrueAccord is an omnichannel debt collection agency, so choosing it means placing accounts with a collector that works them on your behalf.

Main features

  • HeartBeat. This engine sets a collection strategy, leaving its human agents to help consumers find a way forward.
  • Third-party and first-party. It collects as an agency, and its subsidiary Sentry Credit runs first-party outreach under your brand.

Keep in mind: TrueAccord runs the outreach under its own compliance program, so you’re choosing a vendor’s process as much as its technology.

Pricing: Not published.

Human-Led Agencies

Staffed collection agencies and BPO teams run the same workflow with people. Every AI option above also passes some accounts to people, whether your own staff or an agency’s. Skit.ai, for one, says disputes, hardship, and distress always go to a human specialist.

People remain the default: in TransUnion’s 2025 survey, the share of debt collectors investing in AI grew from 11% in 2023 to just 18% in 2024.

Pricing: Usually a contingency fee on what’s recovered, set per portfolio.

For consumer lenders who want collections and the rest of the loan lifecycle on one platform, Vector is the pick, priced on outcomes rather than minutes.

Five Questions to Settle Before You Shortlist

Voice-Only or Omnichannel?

Most collections teams need more than voice, because borrowers expect calls and letters but increasingly pay online. In TransUnion’s 2025 report, 87% of debt collectors used letters and 86% used phone calls, while 88% offered consumers a self-service online portal in 2024.

Ask vendors: Which channels share one conversation history?

Performance-Based or Fixed Pricing?

Performance-based pricing ties your cost to what you recover, and fixed pricing keeps the bill flat. Skit.ai doesn’t publish its pricing, though case studies refer to performance-based deals, so ask for the model up front. Vector ties fees to agreed outcomes. Moveo AI charges a fixed fee, AgentCollect pairs a setup fee and subscription with a small variable fee, and Retell AI and Bland.ai bill per minute.

Ask vendors: What counts as an outcome, and who decides when one has happened?

Which CRMs Does It Connect To?

Salesforce is the common connection: Skit.ai, Moveo AI, and Vector all list it, and Skit.ai and Moveo AI lists Zendesk. Vector also lists Zoho, plus connections to your servicing system, your payment processor, and other systems through webhooks and a REST API.

Ask vendors: Does the integration cover your loan servicing system and collections software by name, and does it write call outcomes back?

Where Is Borrower Data Hosted?

Options run from a shared cloud region to a dedicated instance or your own servers. Vector hosts in the US, with dedicated options where required, and Moveo AI lists private cloud and on-premise deployment. If you collect from EU borrowers, GDPR limits where their data can be processed, so confirm EU hosting before you shortlist.

Ask vendors: Where do call recordings and transcripts live, can EU borrowers’ data stay in the EU, and who are your sub-processors?

What If You Run a Small Agency?

Free tiers and entry plans exist, but check what they cap. Vodex’s free plan includes 10 calling minutes with a two-minute limit per call, enough to test a script but not to work a portfolio. Floatbot’s paid entry plan allows two concurrent calls. Lenders collecting their own accounts can pilot Vector on one group of accounts before scaling.

Ask vendors: What does a pilot cost, and what volume does it cover?

Book a Demo with Vector

Vector agrees the mission, cohort, baseline, and boundaries with you before anything goes live. To get the most out of your demo, please bring the following:

  1. The cohort you’d start with, such as accounts 30 to 60 days past due, and its current right-party contact and promise-to-pay rates.
  2. Your channel mix and the calling windows and attempt caps you already follow.
  3. Your CRM, servicing system, and payment processor by name, plus where borrower data has to stay.

Then book a Vector demo and start with one mission.
